12V telly, because household kit and leisure batteries don't mix

An Avtex 12V smart TV with a built-in satellite decoder, its matching soundbar, and the Fire TV stick that feeds them.

The Avtex TV is motorhome-specific for good reasons: it runs directly on 12V or 24V, shrugs off the voltage wobble of battery life, and has a satellite decoder built in. Its matching soundbar runs on the same supply. A Fire TV stick plus the 4G router covers the streaming side; the Echo Dot handles radio and settles pub-quiz disputes.

Field note

A mains telly on an inverter can draw double-digit watts just existing. The 12V-native Avtex sips instead: the difference between "film night" and "film night, then no water pump in the morning". The satellite decoder matters for the same reason the logbook works where the signal does not: the good spots rarely have both.
