Two light boards weigh what one heavy one does

The maths that reorganised our boot, plus the pump, the robe and the shoes that go with it.

The insight that organised this kit: two Bluefin Lite boards weigh roughly what one standard board does. So instead of one board and an argument about whose turn it is, the van carries two. The rechargeable pump inflates a board in about five minutes while you get changed (into the fleece-lined robe, if it's a UK lake, which it usually is).

Field note

Loch Morlich, early morning, flat calm: parked ten metres from the water, boards inflated before the kettle whistled. The stops where this kit comes out are exactly the ones that earn five-for-views in favourites.
